Grice Collection - Duchesne Grice

Duchesne Grice was a Durban attorney, 1951-1993. During this time he also played an active role in many ways in the development of the 'consolidation' of KwaZulu-Natal and relevant issues: in the late 1960' and 1970s he was involved in the Natal Citizen's Association and the Committee of Ten, and was also a member of the Natal Chamber of Industries.  He was President of the South African Institute of Race Relations (SAIRR) from 1973-1974.  He was closely involved with both the Buthelezi Commission (1980-1982) as a member of its Central Working Group as well as its Economic Development Sub-Committee, and the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Indaba (1986) as convenor of its Constitutional Committee.
