Lona Gqiza a master’s student visited the Alan Paton Centre on the 26 October 2018. Lona attained his Bachelor’s degree in Social Science and his Honours degree at University of KwaZulu-Natal. His did his honours degree in International Realtions. In 2015 Lona worked for The Institute for Global Dialogue is an independent foreign policy think tank based in Tshwane (Pretoria), South Africa. He worked as a research assistant and focused on Southeast Asia relations. In 2016 Lorna was offered a scholarship to do his Masters at the Universidad de Concepcion in Chile, where he did Politics and Governance. Lona completed his MA in 2018 and returned to South Africa. He wants to persuade his PhD at University of KwaZulu-Natal.
