Welcome Mbokazi from the Durban University of Technology., visited the Alan Paton Centre from 15-18 October 2018. He is originally from Mandeni in the North Coast region of KZN. Welcome main interests are in Adult Education and Development, hence his current work on the doctoral degree has been inspired by a certificate course he did in 2006-2007 at the UKZN’s Centre for Adult Education (CAE), entitled Certificate in Education Participatory Development (CEPD).

And his working experience in the community development field, in the CBO and NGO sector in particular. He is a PhD student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s School of Education in Pietermaritzburg. His study focuses on the Political Economy of Monitoring and Evaluation and its implications for learning in South African NGOs. At the APC he has consulted the Pietermaritzburg Agency for Christian Awareness’s (PACSA) PC 11.
